In view of Governor's reservations I think we must confine ourselves for the present to an attempt to carry out deportations. I agree we should make a trial with two film stars as proposed in paragraph 5 of telegram under reference and see how we get on.

2. If this is agreeable no doubt Hong Kong will be letting us have more information on operational details.
