from Dr. Svoboda himself at first hand. Nevertheless, we agree that motives of Hong Kong Communists who spoke to him may easily have been dubious.
2. In view of the time factor we should be grateful for telegraphic comments on Elliott's letter of May 19 [sic].
Foreign Office please pass U.K.Mission Geneva as my telegram M257, and Peking as my telegram 233.
