Parliamentary Question.

The following question has been put down for oral reply on Tuesday, 6th June.

Mr. John Lee (Reading): To ask the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs, what facilities are provided for visiting American forces in Hong Kong: and how many American service personnel have visited Hong Kong during the course of the last 12 months.

3. Grateful for figures of personnel involved, including breakdown between personnel of visiting ships and troops from Viet Nam. Although we require this breakdown we propose to confine reply to total figures and hope to be able to avoid giving separate figures for troops from Viet Nam in reply to any supplementaries (your telegram No. 684 refers).

4. Reply should reach us, if possible, not later than 10.00 hours B.S.T. Monday, 5th June.
