a boycott and introducing Chinese warships into

the inner harbour of Macao. It is also noteworthy

that Peking has not yet reacted in any way to the

accidental intrusion into her airspace by the

helicopters from H.M.S. Bulwark on Monday, 5 June.

Normally, we would have expected an immediate and

angry protest about this incident. The failure of

the Chinese to even make any mention of this

intrusion provides yet more evidence of the con-

fusion and uncertainty which seems to exist in

the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
