Far East and Pacific Department ought to be able to help but I have the impression that we probably know more about this territory in PIOD than they do; perhaps at all events Mr. Brown could take this on:-

8. Briefs for the short visit which Lord Shepherd and Mr. Morgan will be paying to Hong Kong and for the ECAFE meeting are being prepared separately

9. I should be grateful if all Desk Officers in PIOD would put in hand the preparation of those of/Nos. 3 to 17 which concern them and let me have them by at latest 5 April. I hope that in many cases original drafting will not
