CLEARING RAKE
Available for Caterpillar track-type tractors from the D4 to the D8, the Fleco clearing rake is one solid weld- ment with exceptional rigidity and strength. Alloy steel plates protect the radiator and mounting areas and mounting points are recessed into the frame of the rake.
The high-strength steel teeth are spaced to permit loose soil to sift through. Heat-treated forged steel is used for the wear tips which are secured by positive expansion pins that are easily removed with a hammer or punch. The rake is curved to roll the load and keep it ‘alive'.
Fleco Corp., PO Box 2370, Jack- sonville, Florida, USA, are the makers. Agents are: The China Engineers Ltd., Hong Kong; Tractors Malaysia Ltd., Singapore, and U.S. Industries Philip pines, Inc., Manila.
INDUSTRIAL CURTAINS
Introduction of a complete range of heavy duty industrial curtains and sliding gear has been announced by P.C. Henderson Ltd., Harold Hill, Rom- ford, Essex, UK. They were designed for loading bays to minimise heat loss when loading or unloading and also for spray painting booths, welding shops, car washing bays and industrial appli- cation.
The curtains are flame- and rot- proof and the material will not rip when torn. They are ready hemmed at top and sides, complete with eyelets. Operated on Henderson 290 14
gauge galvanised tubular tracks, the curtains are carried on hangers with ball bearings and nylon wheels. The hangers are fitted with bumpers to avoid wheels overriding adjacent hang-
ers.

CONVEYOR BELT
An improved version of the Load- screen mobile belt conveyor has been introduced as the Loadascreen Mark 2. Two models are available with 40ft. and 48ft. booms respectively.
Lattice bracing gives the booms strength and stability, and both ver- sions have 2ft. wide conveyor belts with rubber-covered, cotton nylon cores fitted with heavy duty fasteners. The belts are supported on deep-trough, life-sealed, ball-bearing idlers and rub- ber disc return idlers, and they run over tail drums of the self-cleaning sprial type.
by a Lister HR 2 air-cooled diesel engine, which produces 21% h.p. at 1,500 r.p.m. and accepts electric start- ing as an optional extra. Power trans- mission to the conveyor belt is by means of an enclosed belt drive, and to the vibratory screen by means of
an enclosed chain drive.
Optional extras include a clutch unit that allows independent operation of the screen while the belt and feeder are stopped, swivelling wheels to per- mit radial stockpiling, and a three-way discharge system.
Makers are Frederick Parker Ltd., P.O. Box 146, Leicester, UK.
SPRAY PLANT
The electric-powered QBE-60410 Hustler airless-spray plant introduced by the DeVilbiss Co., Ltd., Ringwood Road, Bournemouth, Hants, UK, su- persedes the earlier QBE-501 equip- ment. Its high manoeuvrability and the almost complete lack of spray mist make it particularly suitable for work in confined spaces.
Power for the plant comes from a single-phase electric motor, adaptable to 210/250V or 105/125V working and coupled to a hydraulic motor driving a hydraulic reciprocating paint pump. The total output is 40 fl. oz. per min. delivered to the spray gun at atomising pressures of up to 3,000 p.s.i.
A fan built into the motor draws in cooling air for the unit through a replaceable filter panel in the side of the outer casing, used air being dis- charged through louvres also set in the site.
There is a choice between a 4cu. yd. feed hopper with a reciprocating tray feeder, and a low, wide apron- type feed hopper, 9 ft. wide by 6 ft. Mounted on a chassis with two long, which allows lorries to tip directly rubber-tyred rear wheels and a front on to the belt. The 4cu. yd. hopper castor, the unit measures overall 2 ft. stands 8 ft. 3 in. high and has an 8 ft. 2 in. long by 2 ft. 3 in. wide by 3 ft. square feed mouth that can receive 221⁄2 in. high to the top of the tubular material from loading shovels on three handle. It enbodies an integral solvent sides. The tall hopper's reciprocating reservoir that facilitates quick cleaning feed tray and discharge door control up, and the front platform can be the rate of feed.
