New modern centre proposed by Government for market- ing of fish at Aberdeen. "The present market premises in Kennedy Town are inadequate," states the Fish Marketing Organisation report for November. For some time the erec- tion of a new, modern market in the Kennedy Town area has been considered desirable. For various reasons this has not been possible and consideration is now being given to the possibility of erecting a new market on the Colonial Develop- ment and Welfare Fund reclamation at Aberdeen. It is thought that such a move would be of great advantage to us for it is certain that we should have better contact with in- dividual fishermen and that the number of middlemen would decrease."

Patent "R.M.W." Process No. 464020.

The photo-micrograph below shows a section through а frame after treatment. Between the rustproof outer layer and the steel of the base an important intermediate alloy layer can be seen binding the outer layer inseparably to the steel. It is this complete and inseparable union which gives the process its great value and differentiates it from all painting and coating processes. The treatment is carried out

on all frames after they have been machined and assembled and after a thorough cleaning to remove dirt, grease and scale.
