The marble-walled Bank of America premises comprises a main entrance hall on Ice House Street, banking hall on the first floor and administrative offices on the second floor, with space in the basement for strong rooms and other banking facilities.

The American Club occupies the first two floors at the set back which

this luxuriously appointed club, the interior of which was designed by In- terior Decorators, Ltd., Hong Kong. (The club will not allow illustrations of its interior to be published).

There are six separate shop areas, each of approximately 750 sq. ft., on the ground floor facing Chater Road, Ice House Street and Connaught Road. Walls and floors in the 70ft. x 40ft.

main lobby and in other public areas are marble-clad. A honey-coloured mar- ble, Serpeggiante, is used and at ground floor bronze aluminium columns and fascias have been introduced. Lighting on the ground floor is provided by means of a louvred aluminium ceiling imported from Canada and from two Italian cast glass block screens located at the end of each lift lobby.
