air induced through large fans and dis- tributed by ducts running the full length of the bays aided by motor driven extract fans at high level on the roof. The large fans for the air intake are situated outside the building to minimise noise and a feature has been made of their housings over the main doors to the factory bays.

Finishes

Internal floor finishes to both the factory and the materials storage bays is a 2 in. thickness of granolithic, top- ped monolithically with a 1/2 in. thickness of heavy duty Ferrogram 'AA'.

surface has been obtained by the use of Green Colorcrete, finished with a waxed polish. Wall dadoes to a height of 7 ft. in the industrial areas are finished in Vitracote, a hard wearing epoxy resin paint, and all other surfaces both internal and external have an emulsion paint finish.

A particular feature of the building is the use of fibreglass for the large valley gutters between the bays and for the large water storage tanks — a much higher first cost aimed at avoiding recurrent maintenance costs.

Another feature is the 250 and 400 amp. aluminium busbar trunking which serves two bays of the factory and which is equipped with tap-off points
