(Left) Map of the area at head of Blue Pool Road as it will be when final section is completed, and below it is an actual photograph of this area.

The bottom picture shows the terminus of

Blue Pool Road as it appears to-day.

I

A few years ago Blue Pool Road was just a line on the map running up the east side of Wong Nei Chong Valley in a southerly

direction from the Race Course.

As new building sites were rapid- ly acquired along this road it

gradually extended up the valley in actual reality until to-day only

a short stretch from the east of

I.L. 5082 to the junction of Tai

Hang Road, about a thousand feet in all, is required to com- plete it.

The completion of this sec- tion, which is now under way,

will not only open up a number of new building

lots but would give the residents of the whole

Happy Valley section direct access to the Stubbs Road-Tai Hang Road junction, from which both the Peak and Repulse Bay are within easy

access.

Until this link is completed, Happy Valley residents must travel back to Queen's Road and proceed up Stubbs Road while residents of Causeway Bay and districts east must travel up

the tortuous Tai Hang Road. The convenience of this short cut, we are sure, will be greatly

appreciated by car owners as soon as they can make use of it, and we feel sure that the Roads

Office will make every effort to complete the short stretch required as quickly as possible.
