Sham Shui Po School

This school, which will cater to 1.080 primary students (540 students at morning classes and 540 at after- noon classes) was commissioned by the United Lutheran Church in America Mission and the Lutheran Church of Hong Kong.

The school is on a sloping site of 18.000 square feet in a multi-storey resettlement area. known as Shek Kip Mei in Sham Shui Po (N.K.L.L. 4478). All resettlement areas are known for their dense population of refugees who live in estates built. owned, and operated by the Govern-

ment.

The site for the school portion was given free by the Government, which also met half the construction cost of the school.

The programme called for a school that would accommodate 12 class rooms. one large general purpose room. adequate covered play grounds
