six centimetre r.c. slab cast over a precast inverted channel floor unit.

Cross beams are supported by main spine beams and columns. The central lift shaft. staircase and end wall service ducts are main skeleton. cast in situ by sliding formes.

A curtain wall of heat retarding and glare free tinted glass in an anodized aluminium frame of 3 by

3 metre units makes a rectangular tower rising clear and clean, with no rooftop structure to spoil the line. This is achieved by a roof curtain wall which also acts as a wind shield to the roof terrace.

The shrine of the Land's God. the decoration to front entrance of the main building. is a feature of Thai traditional architecture that clearly

emphasizes the character of this building.

The plan allows for extension on the north for another office building.

Work began in October 1960 and the whole scheme should be com- pleted by the end of 1961.

The architect is Mr. Amnony Patarang Rina. of Christiani and Nielsen (Thai) Ltd.
