The construction of the buildings will follow the design of the multi-storey resettlement buildings which have already been erected by Government. They will have reinforced concrete bearing walls in 10'-0" bays extending the full height of the structure, these walls acting as partitions between the units, leaving only the exterior panels and the interior party walls to be filled in.
There will be play-grounds on the roofs, and all the sanitary and bathing facilities will be concentrated on each floor in the connecting link between the parallel wings.
The Architectural Office of the Public Works Department carried out the designing and construction works, but the Com- missioner of Resettlement is responsible for administration and control after completion of the buildings.
