View of the lounge in the flats.

A photo of one of the bedrooms in the flats.

The dining room in the flats which is really an extension of the lounge.

Entrance to lobbies (stair wells) have been faced with glass bricks and a "Bambi" motif has been carried out in wrought ironwork in the main doors and stair rails. The floors in all main rooms are finished in parquet with mosaic tile floors to kitchen, servery and bathrooms. These latter rooms are walled to shoulder height in white glazed tiles. Alcoves have been provided in the lounge and main bedrooms to provide for a writing desk and dressing table respectively and the accommodation is "all-electric."

The total cost of the scheme will be in the neighbour- hood of $900,000 including all services, landscaping, roads and two tennis courts. The general design and layout has been widely and favourably commented on and the complete scheme represents a concise, well-planned and economical layout.

The work was progressed on behalf of the Shell Co. by Mr. W. Wratton and Mr. C. O. Middlemiss representing Messrs. Palmer & Turner. The quantity surveyors were Messrs. Langdon & Every.
