OPENED at the end of January,
the Hong Kong Country Club stands on a 220.000 square feet site (RBL 776) between Deep Water Bay Road and the sea, with a frontage to the sea of approximately 250 feet.
The club house is set back from the sea at top of a gently sloping green lawn. To the west of the club house is a swimming pool. 30 feet wide by 823 feet long, deepening from 14 feet at the shallow end to a
deepest point of 12 feet. and a foot- deep paddling pool for children. Round both pools is a wide paved area in white mosaic tile.
On the north side of the club house are five clay tennis courts. It was originally intended to build be tween the swimming pool and the tennis courts a double sided stand on which tiers of shaded seats would enable spectators of both sports to have an excellent view of what is
