The new market will have two cold rooms

one on each floor 200 ft. in size for the storage of

sq. frozen meats.

It will also have three store-rooms each of 1,600 cubic ft. capacity.

The interior will be finished in terrazzo,

mosaic and wall-glazed tiles. Modern fire-fighting equip ment will be provided.

The market will be a two-storey building with floor area of 90.000 Sq. ft.

Additionally, there will be ample space for circulation and there will be parking space for 80 private cars plus a few hundred bi- cycles.

Loading bays for lorries have al- so been included in the plans.

The market stalls will be of big- ger size than in the existing mar- ket. In all. there will be 447 stalls in the new market compared with 249 in the present 50-year-old mar-

ket.
