On the first floor of the Magistracy is a large public entrance hall, with a stairway at the rear giving access to the upper floor. On the right are rooms for the police, shroffs, a vault and a public inquiry counter.
On the left is a juvenile court with its own entrance lobby opening from the public hall. Adjacent to this juvenile court are offices for proba tion and welfare officers.
Also on the ground floor are cells (each with forced exhaust fan ven- tilation), garages, air conditioning plant, other ancillary offices for police and court officers, and a private staircase to the upper floor for the use of magistrates.
