DIMENSIONS.

Where dimensions are shewn these are to be adhered to-where not shewn the candidate is to scale from sketch. The candidates' working drawings are to be fully dimensioned and annotated.

CONSTRUCTION. Type of construction and finishes are left to the candidate. Sufficient notes are to be put on the drawings to make construction and finishes clear. Assume normal foundation for good ground.

R. C. WORK. The candidate is not expected to calculate reinforced concrete work or show any reinforcements. He should however show columns, beams and slabs to the approximate sizes which he considers suitable to each position where used.

DOORS & WINDOWS. To be in timber.

STAIRCASES. To be either in timber or reinforced concrete.

DRAINS & SANITATION. The outside surface water drains

to be shewn.

All sanitary fittings to be shewn on the drawings together with the sanitation scheme, i.e. soil pipes, Manholes and lines of drains up to the last manhole shewn marked "M.H." on plan,

The examinees were required to submit 1/8" scale draw- ings of the floor plans, front and back elevations, and one or more sections, and the time allowed was 18 hours.
