There will be three modern "Schindler" lifts to handle the vertical traffic, two in one bank in the centre of the east side, and one at the west side of the building. These lifts will be connected by a cor- ridor running through the centre of the building in the case of the office floors, and by an open gallery on the residential floors. This open gallery will also provide access to all the various apartments.

All the apartments are most economically planned with the absolute minimum of corridors, having a combined living and dining room in the case of the two and three bedroom apartments, with bathroom. kitchen and servants' room neatly fitted in.

Each apartment will have concealed electric wiring, telephone cables, Rediffusion lines, and gas pipes leading to the kitchen and bathrooms. Complete hot water system will be included in the fixtures. and there will be two 1-H.P. G. E. air conditioning units to each apartment.

The building was originally planned as a 16- storeyed structure, but a penthouse apartment to be occupied by Mr. Henry Fok of National Investment Co. Ltd., was subsequently added. This apartment will be well planned and finished, and we hope to include a full description in a later issue.
