From the back lobby there is a third main staircase, elliptical in plan, leading up to the balcony. In the centre of the curve of this staircase on the ground floor there is a fountain.

The lobbies and the foyer have been spaciously planned so that it will not be necessary for people to queue up outside the theatre to buy tickets and so obstruct the pavements.

The back part of the lot will be mostly taken up by a parking area for about 40 cars; this car park will be located underneath the stalls. Se- parate openings for entrance and exit of vehicles will be provided from Irving Street. Also on the ground floor surrounding the car park are various stores and service rooms, an advertising workshop, a lobby and tic- ket booth.
