ballroom and a banqueting room will be on the second floor. The restaurant on the twenty-fifth floor is planned to hold 300 people who will have a 270 degree view over the whole of Hong Kong through the glass walls. It will have a subsidiary bar lounge and piano bar.

Access to all floors will be by Otis lifts passenger lifts with a speed of 700 feet a minute and three service lifts with a speed of 500 feet a minute.

Total building costs including all mechanical sub-contracts will be about $25,000,000. Electrical, plumbing and air-conditioning sub-contracts will be supervised by Wallace International Ltd., with the plumbing and electrical work being carried out by The China Engineers Ltd. and the air-conditioning by The Jardine Engineering Corporation Ltd.

Owners of the new hotel are Wynncor Ltd. Architects are Palmer and Turner. Main contrac- tors are Paul Y Construction Co. Ltd.

By a regretted oversight in the article on Gren- ville House, Hong Kong, in the June Builder the name of the architects was omitted. The block of flats is designed by the Harriman Realty Co. Ltd., chief architect Douglas S. Phelps, F.R.I.C.S.
