A false ceiling overhanging the auditorium is constructed of gypsum board sprayed with acoustical plaster.
The walls of the entrance foyer and elevations are highlighted by the use of marble and mosaic tile facing. The foyer lounges and auditorium also have P.V.C. walling with joints. covered by teak strips.
A central air conditioning system in the basement serves the theatre and lobbies. A separate system operates for the shops. An outstand- ing feature of the airconditioning is positive fresh air intake by an air intake blower.
Construction took 280 days. It started in April last year and finished in time for Chinese New Year highly profitable season.
The 650,000 cubic foot building occupies a site of 9,700 square feet.
