Blocks A-G are 17-storey. Blocks H,J,K,L are 4-storey

building. Two tower cranes do all the site handling; they are mounted on tracks which follow the perimeter of the block under construction.

The erection procedure is as sim- ple as possible. Bolts protruding from the upper edge of the cross walls func- tion as lifting devices as well as ad- justable levelling devices. When the walls are erected, sockets in the lower

edge are placed directly on top of the bolts protruding from the wall below. The nuts are pre-adjusted to a con- trolled level.

Afterwards the walls are secured with temporary bracings and the deck slabs above are put in place. The gap between the lower edge of wall and deck is packed with dry mortar. Verti- cal joints between the interior parti-

tions and the cross walls are grouted and the joints between the upper decks are concreted and vibrated. Reinforce- ment as required is placed in the joints prior to casting.

Preparation for construction of the next floor then proceeds. The locations of all walls are marked, nuts are level- led and erection continues.
