In their design for redevelopment of the lot, the architects, Wong & Ng Associates, were restricted to the five floors over the garages.
There are six flats on each floor, comprising three bedrooms, two baths, and kitchen and servants' facilities.
To obtain maximum floor area for each flat, under the coverage limitation, the design provided for one staircase to serve three flats. All stairs lead to the roof for fire escape.
