all extensively fitted out and equip- ped. These afford the means for prac- tical training in the various trades of mechanical and electrical engineering, air-conditioning and refrigeration, radio servicing and television main- tenance, and comprehensive fields of study in the building industry.
There are also tutorial suites for technical teacher training, teaching rooms for commercial courses includ- ing business machine utilization, and laboratories for engineering science.
The total gross area provides approx- imately 125,000 sq.ft. of floor space which is capable of further extension by another 6,000 sq.ft. in the work- shop wing.
The in-situ reinforced concrete frame building has brick infilling ex- ternal walls with light Shanghai plaster finishes and brown ceramic tile-clad spandrels. Flooring for the teaching and administration rooms comprises vinyl asbestos tiles, while the work- shops have granolithic floors surfaced with coloured metalic hardener to make them non-slip and hard-wearing.
Doubling as a gymnasium, the as- sembly hall has a folded concrete slab roof and an external rendering of dark brick-red trowelled Sandtex. Its floor-
