Space for all in People's Park complex
THE aptly named People's Park shop- ping complex in Singapore, completed and opened last year, has already prov- ed a success both from a business point of view and in the realisation of the architects' aims of creating a pub- lic closed space where the people of the Chinatown district of Singapore may shop and dine and, more im- portantly, gather throughout the day and evening for the simple pleasure of strolling around in an inviting atmo- sphere.
The centre has been consciously designed as a public amenity and to
