3 Library Assistants and 4 Clerks are required for the extension of public hours of the Library and the opening of an additional floor for public use. 1 supernumerary post of Calligraphist is included for a further year to meet commitments in the Chinese section of the Library.
1 post of Foreman Class II is provided in order to strengthen the supervision of minor staff. This new post is offset by the reduction of an Office Attendant.
Other Charges Annually Recurrent show a net decrease of $12,000 as compared with the previous year's figure. This is mainly due to a reduction in the Fuel, light and power item which was previously over-estimated.
