Housing Authority Estates

The 2 Architectural Draughtsmen Class II are required for work on the design and planning of new housing estates at Kwun Tong and Tsuen Wan. The remaining new posts are necessary in connexion with additional accommodation that will become available during 1962-63 on the Authority's Choi Hung, Ma Tau Wai and Kwun Tong Estates.

Government Low Cost Housing

During the latter part of 1961 the Housing Authority undertook the task of tenanting and managing Government low cost housing estates. The staff included under this sub-heading is required for low cost housing estates which will be partially or wholly ready for tenanting in 1962-63. Training necessitates the advance recruitment of some staff for accommodation which will not be ready until the 1963-64 financial year.
