To supervise the work of the 242 additional Labourers, 5 additional Gangers are required. The remaining new posts are required for normal expansion and new projects.

Under Other Charges Annually Recurrent the increase of $450,500 (from $2,001,000 for 1960/61 to $2,451,500) is due to the completion of new resettlement estates.

Out of a total of $565,000 included under Special Expenditure approximately $502,000 is revoted money. $312,000 is a revote of funds approved by Special Warrant to cover building extensions at the Depart- ment's main Kowloon office and $189,190 is revoted on account of work in cottage areas.
