Of the four Senior Superintendent posts, three are for the Special Branch, two of which were approved by Special Warrant during 1960/61, and the fourth is required for senior staff duties in the Establish- ment Branch at Headquarters. These increases are offset by the transfer of one post to the Immigration Department. One post of Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent (Deputy Force Communications Officer) was approved by Special Warrant during 1960/61 and is offset by the reduction of one post of Chief Inspector. A further post of Chief Inspector is transferred to the Immigration Department and another two posts are replaced by two Senior Inspector posts. As a result of the approval of the new Rank Structure there are 68 new posts of Senior Inspector. Two of these posts are transferred to the Immigration Department. The establishment of Inspectors is reduced by sixty-six posts upgraded to Senior Inspector and thirty-four posts transferred to the Immigration Department.
