The net increase in the combined grade of Senior Assistant Masters, Assistant Masters and Certificated Masters is 32 posts. In arriving at this figure 31 existing posts which are deleted and replaced by 31 Primary School Masters posts, are set off by the 43 posts created during the year as replacements for the Assistant Education Officer posts referred to in the preceding paragraph plus 20 new posts as follows-

Of the 176 additional Primary School Masters posts 141 are new posts for the schools listed below, and 35 are replacements for the 4 Assistant Education Officers and 31 Certificated Masters posts referred to in the two preceding paragraphs:-

There is a net reduction of 60 posts in the combined grade of Senior Assistant Mistresses, Assistant Mistresses and Certificated Mistresses. 89 posts are deleted and replaced by Primary School Mistresses but 29 new posts are required for new schools in 1959/60—
