Six posts in the combined grade of Education Officers, Masters and Assistant Educa- tion Officers were approved during the year. One existing post was subsequently deleted as a result of a decision to use a part-time supervisor for the Technical College Evening Classes. An additional 29 are required in 1957/58 for the following purposes:-

2 for King's College

3 for Victoria Technical College

2 for Tai Hang Tung School

2 for North Point Housing Estate School

9 for Caine Road Govt. School

Twenty one posts in the combined grade of Senior Assistant Masters, Assistant Masters and Certificated Masters were approved during the year: one post has been regraded as Technical Teacher. 21 new posts are created for the following purposes:—

3 for Morrison Hill Primary School

7 for Tai Hang Tung School

6 for North Point Housing Estate School

43 of the 73 new posts of Primary School Master were approved during the year and the remaining 30 posts are required in 1957/58 for existing and new schools as follows:-

1 Canton Road Police School

One post of Education Officer (Woman) is provided for Ho Tung Technical School and 2 posts of Mistress for Caine Road Government School, less one post deleted.

43 posts in the combined grade of Senior Assistant Mistresses, Assistant Mistresses and Certificated Mistresses were approved during the year. 30 new posts are provided for the following:
