The only changes in the permanent establishment are the deletion of a post of Cadet Officer Class II in respect of a transfer within the approved overall establishment of Cadet Officers, and the substitution of a Woman Confidential Assistant Class I for a Senior Woman Confidential Assistant and a Temporary Clerk for a G.C.S. Clerk. 6 posts are retained for the Tenancy Inquiry Bureaux. The supernumerary post of Secretary for Chinese Affairs was approved during the year. These changes, together with normal increments and salaries revision, account for the increase of $23,031 in the vote for Personal Emoluments.
