A STEADY DRIZZLE STARTED AT ABOUT 230 F.M. AND WHICH CONTINUED THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON ON SATURDAY caused most cricket matches to be washed out. Only two of the seven matches down in the fixtures for the afternoon were played..to a finish, the rest being abandoned after about, In most cases, only half hour's play. The League

The two matches that were played (literally) to the bitter and were between Recreio and University first and second

teams. These two matches were played in extremely cold, miserable wea- ther, rain falling practically throughout, excepting for the half hour.
