Wednesday, Sept. 11 Silver prices rose yesterday to the extent of 1/16 for Ready and 3/18 for Forward, the quotations being 23.1/2 and 23.7/16 respec- tively. Silver advices reported the market as being quiet with small business done. American Buver was quoted "at 34.3/4 tor Spot

After ruling quletly steady the market became 'duli. .NEW YORK COTTON: The majority of the trade "estimates domestic consumption this season at around 8,000,000 bales.

CHICAGO WHEAT: The continued strength of September posi- tion was the main constructive influence. The Government estimate of the total crop, Winter and Spring, shows 783,560,000 bushels.
