The market was quiet but steady, with little home trade buying. NEW YORK COTTON: Buying was more general on the cotton market and this absorbed scattered selling, from the South Weather conditions are fair, but it is hot over the cotton belt.
NEW YORK RUBBER: The discounts of forward months re- commend them as a hedge purchase and make them more attrac tive than purchasing actual rubber at present Spot prices and carrying such purchases in stock.
CHICAGO WHEAT: The liquidation on North-West rains tech- nically improved the position but the market is still under weather Influence as moisture is still needed in the dry areas.
