First Conviction Since Outbreak Of War

THE FIRST CONVICTION IN HONGKONG, since the outbreak of the war, in respect of breaches of the Sedition, Defence and Incite- ment to Disaffection Ordinances, was recorded yesterday when an Indian constable of the Hongkong Police Force was found guilty at the Criminal Sessions on four charges and sentenced to 15 months' hard labour:
