DR. FRANCIS CLARK, M.D., M.R.C.P., D.P.H., father of Mrs, Hilda Dowbiggin, wife of Lt. Col. H. B. L. Dowiggin. 0.8:E, passed away peacefully in a Nursing Home in England on Friday in his 76th year. Dr. Clark was a barrister-at-law of the Middle Temple and was Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hongkong from 1919 to 1915 prior to which he was Dean and. Lecturer on.. medicine for the College of Medicine, Hongkong, since 1897,

The late Dr. Clark, who was well loved by both Europeans' and Chi- nese in the Colony, was a member of the Legislative Council in 1902 and of the Executive Council in 1905. From 1897 to 1915 he was a Justice of the Peace and was en- Baged in war and post-war «work in England from 1915 to 1922.
