CLAIMS IN KARELIA

HELSINKI, Feb.

14 (Reuter)-Yesterday was the. twelfth day of the Soviet attack on the Mannerheim Line and its increased intensity shows that the Soviets received reinforcements and are relying on pressure of tanks, guns and infantry to overwhelm the Finns through exhaustion.

The Soviets claim to have captured thirty-two defence forts in the Karellan Isthmus, but this is denied by the Finns.

In the Far North, heavy snow has held up operations, but Soviet planes bombed the Finnish positions.
