Market Report
FROM ROZA BROS, Stiver prices were unchanged yes- terday. the quotations remaining at 23.1/2 for Ready and 23.5/8 tori Forward. Sliver advices reported a steady marke, with small London Indian buyers. American Silver was quoted at 343/4 for Spot. The London-New York rate was quoted at 402.
London was quoted at 390.1/4.
Sterling
The market closed with sellers at
1/231/32 December-January and
Rather substantial foreign buying was met by i- creased Southern selling, and offerings from spot houses. Interest is being centered on the approaching farmers referendum, which is due on December 9, regarding control of the 1940 crop.
RUBBER: There was same scattered liquidation on a thin market. Speculative interest was light, but the technical position Is believed to be sound.
WHEAT: No needed relief in the drought sections is indicated. Purchases of December by cash houses and short-covering are stimulating the market, The easiness of the Canadian market
is attributed to the favourable harvesting weather conditions in the Argentine which may result in heavier marketings abroad later in the season.
