FROM ROZA BROS. Sliver prices rosë 1/16 yesterday. for both deliveries, the quotations being 23.3/8 for Ready and 23.1/2 for Forward. Silver advices ported the market as being steady. Indla bought. A small business was done. American Sliver was quoted at 34.3/4 for Spot.
The London/New York cross-rate was quoted at 402. New York London was quoted at 390.1/8.

Sterling
The market was quiet. COTTON: There was a consistent foreign and domestic Trade demand which absorbed a fair amount of Southern selling. "Spots"** today were firm and offerings were light with the mills being the largest buyers. We would continue to favour accumulation of May and July contracts, expecting an even more light Spot situation by the Spring
reflecting heavy December RUBBER: The market was easy, liquidation. Some factory buying on the scale down was evident.
WHEAT: Conflicting news regarding the Russo-Finnish tension were promptly and continuously reflected in higher wheat prices ac- companied by extensive short-covering and good milling demand. The foreign markets were firm and persistent British Government егор news buying of Canadian wheat was reported. Unfavourable continues to be the chief substaining factor.
