An enemy broadcast has claimed that H.M.S. Kestrel has been sunk. This is the biggest joke of the war, since the Kestrel is actually the official name of the Fleet Al Arm training establishment at Worthy Down, Hampshire,

This should encourage the Ger -mans to carry on with the verbal destruction of a few more ships of a similar character, such as the Boscawen, which is the shore base A Portland: the Buzzard, other- wise the RN. Air Station at Lympne; the Daedalus, RN. Air Station at Lee-on-Solent; or the Merlin, RN. Air Station at Doni- bristle..

An especially tempting choice would be FL.M.S. Impregnable. whose name could hardly fall to attract the imagination of the German broadcasters. This hap- pens to be a boys' training estab ishment on dry land at St. Budeaux, near Devonport--Dally Telegraph.

Liner Requisitioned

By Government

One of the liners of the Cana- dian Pacific Steamship Co. has been requisitioned by the British. Government for a short tour of duty.

The steamer, which will arrive in Hongkong in a few days, will be turned over to the Government authorities.
