The market was on London buying. COTTON: Early Trade and foreign demand met with increased hedging and realizing. The difficulty in shipping is becoming an important factor, in spite of the business outlook here and the con- fidence in the market's ability to advance. The spot' position re- mains tight.

RUBBER: The strength of the market reflects the firmness of 108 1/2 the primary markets and the continued reports of London buying to fuifl the Barter agreement. The spot position is tight. Manufac- turers are reported to be the best buyers.

WHEAT: Prices were easter on liquidation and realizing. Ex- ports were lacking. There was no change in the unfavourable wea- ther news.
