Although the Royal Navy were defeated by seven goals to one by South China "A" in the First Division Soccer League at Causeway Bay yesterday, the score is no Indication of the trend of play or of the standard of football served by the sailors.

Playing as well, or even better than, they did when they lost to Eastern a week ago, the Navy attack was so well planned and executed that they deserved to have scored more than the soli- tary goal they got from the only penalty in the match. But the Navy shooting lacked B. CHINA "A"-Tam Kwan- the punch that is necessary to kon; Mak Shui-hon; Leung Wing beat Tam Kwan-kon, the South chul; Lau Chung-sang. Lan Hing- China goalie, who seems to be all chot, Soong Ling sing; Tang hands and feet when his goal is Kwong-shum, Fung King-cheong. being attacked. Yesterday he was Lee Wal-tong. Lai Shul-wing and as good as ever and brought of Lau Tan-man. some really brilliant saves.
