consumption 8,000,000 bales and free supply exports of 4,300,000 bales would eastly and approximately absorb the prospective 1939 crop together with the stock of 'free' cotton on August 1 of 2,084,000 bales. Near positions were "Arm under the Influence of the strength of Spots. Hedging was light.

RUBBER: The market was quiet but steady, Commission houses bought and dealers stood by. Sentiment was mixed with regard to the domestic supply situation. Small factory Interest was noted.

WHEAT: The market eased on lack of follow-up buying in spite of continued drought reports from the South-west. The threat of Canadian exports is a restraining factor.

HIDES: The record low in the visible supply failed to stimulate the market. A fair amount of hedging was in evidence.
