COTTON: The delay in the official reaction to Hitler's peace proposals by the Allies again aroused the talks of So

European Armistice and this caused a moderate amount of hedge selling which met with limited trade demand. is reported that a government cotton loan would become mandatory at 816 cents,

RUBBER: - The market was heavy. Dealers were selling inter- mittently, Trading was quiet all day. The market lacks rallying power.

WHEAT: The delay in the official reaction to Herr Hitler's speech "by the Allies, again evoking the feeling of a possibility of peace in Europe, was reflected in lower wheat prices. Domestic wheat surplus is estimated at 300,000,000 bushels, equivalent to six months' supply.

HIDES: Packers continued to to offer freely. Tanners are with- holding their purchases, awalting lower offerings.

NEW YORK STOCKS: Previous close, 150.81; To-day's close. 149.80: Change of 1.01.
