WHEAT: The delay in the official reaction to Herr Hitler's speech by the Allies, again evoking the feeling of a possiblilty of peace in Europe, was reflected in lower wheat prices. Domestic wheat surplus' is estimated at 300,000,000 bushels, équivalent to six months' "supply.

HIDES: Packers continued to to offer freely. Tanners are with- holding their purchases, awaiting lower offerings.
