COTTON; After a rather quiet and dull session, the market closed firmer on buying by the Trade, belter mill demand, specula- tive buying and firmness on Wall Street, following "receipt of news from Europe indicating probable rejection" by the Allies of the Russo-German peace feelers.
RUBBER: Prices overnight moved higher on good buying orders, a renewal of speculative interest and better factory demand.
WHEAT: - Absence of rain in the drought sections brought about a good measure of buying and covering and prices advanced on this factor together with better milling demand and the strength of the stock market.
