WESTERN FRONT OPERATIONS UNCHANGED: HEAVY ARTILLERY FIRE

PARIS, Sept. 27 (Reuter)~The scene of operations on the Western Front continues to be the country west "of Haardt, which forms a kind of link between the Saar Line and the Forest of Haardt.

The nature of the operations is unchanged and activity consists of artillery duels, while the local engagements are carried out by forces never stronger than a battalion at a time on either side.
