Lack Of Iodine In Food
CHUNGKING, Sept. 13 (Central)-The Chinese Government is launching a campaign against goitre in Yunnan. Goltre is one of the three major public Health problems there the other two being malaria and leprosy.
For centuries, this disease caused by lack of iodine in local salt and "foodstuffs, has existed in Yunnan. It is more pre- valent" among women than men.
